AirportRadar at Dresden International Airport

Our AirportRadar & Albatros products have been put into operation at the international airport "Dresden International".

AirportRadar processes radar data and calculates various parameters (landing times, runway). These data are forwarded to other airport systems (eg AODB, apron control and ground handling services).

In the apron check, AirportRadar serves the professional application for air situation display system Albatros. In addition, the Topsonic aircraft noise measuring system, which was already installed in spring 2018, will be supported with flight track information from AirportRadar.

Noise monitoring system at Václav-Havel Airport Prague

Václav-Havel Airport is located in the Ruzyně district of the Czech capital Prague. With more than 155.000 aircraft movements per year and over 16 million passengers, it's by far the largest commercial airport in the Czech Republic.

The project includes the design, development and installation of a complete aircraft noise monitoring solution.

This solution consists of a central server unit with interfaces to the ATC radar and flight plan database of the airport as well as 14 stationary and 1 mobile noise monitoring terminals. In addition, an ATC recorder was installed, which records the pilot and tower radio in parallel on several channels and helps the user to explain possible peculiarities of a flight track.

In order to avoid misinterpretation, it is examined whether extreme weather conditions prevailed during the measurement period (for example high local wind speeds). This is done by meteorological sensors which, simultaneously to the aircraft noise events, record meteorological information at all 15 measuring points and transmit it to the central server.

Noise monitoring system at Brussels Airport

Brussels airport is the biggest airport in Belgium. In 2017, more than 24 million passengers arrived or departed at Brussels Airport.

Topsonic installed a comprehensive Noise & Flight Track Tracking System successfully. The system consists of a full web-hosted server solution and the operation of 21 stationary and 3 mobile Noise Monitoring Terminals. The airport environmental department uses the latest TANOS application with individual modifications for their specific analysis and reporting.

Implemented Topsonic TrackBox browser application provides the possibility to share important flight track information with several stakeholders. The TraVis application is showing the system results in near-live and archive mode for residents on a public webpage. All the data from the previous system was imported into the new Topsonic system.

Noise monitoring system at Ørland Airbase

Ørland Main Air Station located in Brekstad/Norway is operated by the Royal Norwegian Airforce and is an important air base.

The air station is the base of F16 and new F-35 fighter aircraft. Topsonic installed a comprehensive Noise & Flight Track Tracking System with two stationary and one mobile NMT.

The system has been set up according to the highest security guidelines resulting from the special requirements of a military environment.

Noise monitoring system at Wien-Schwechat airport

The airport Wien Schwechat is the biggest airport in Austria and is operated by the Flughafen Wien AG.

The core of the installed noise monitoring system is a redundant server- and data-based architecture. 15 stationary noise monitoring terminals have been installed surrounding the airport. Furthermore, there are 3 mobile noise monitoring systems available for the environmental department.

With Topsonic Aircraft Noise Suite (TANOS) users have the newest possibilities for 2D/3D flight track analysis and plausibility test.
